What Makes A Good Leader

Focus

A leader must have focus. They must focus on their goals and objectives and they should not get distracted. For example when me and a group of friends had to film a few scenes for a project, I was the one who would always keep us on track. I didn't let my group get distracted and helped them stayon task so we could finish on time. Even though everyone just wanted to talk and not do work I convinced them that we should work first and then talk after we were done.

Integrity

The definition for Integrity is "the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles; moral uprightness."That means that a Leader has to be truthful and not tell lies. Hillary Clinton is an example for this one too. Many people also did not trust or vote for her because she was not honest.

Confidence

As a leader, having Confidence shows that people can trust you and have confidence in you.When A leader does not have confidence, the audience will not want to put their trust in them because who would want to trust someone that does not trust themselves. Barak Obama Said so himself, the link is to an article. The article talks about how confidence in a leader is good and how over-confidence is bad.

Transparency

Transparency is very important for a leader. For people to trust them they need to show that they are not hiding anything. For example Hilary Clinton, Many people did not trust her because there were rumors that she was hiding something in her emails.

Authencity

A leader must be authentic; that means they don't plagiarize. when leaders copy and they are caught their followers lose trust. An example is when Melania Trump was accused of copying Michele Obama speech. she was not a reliable leader anymore.

Innovation

Our school itself says that Innovation is a part of being a leader. Our SAIL policy at Jean Augustine has the word innovation in it. Innovation means that you create something. This article list some really innovative leaders such as Sheryl Sandberg and Larry Page.

Passion

Loving your Job is a good quality to have with any job but when you are a leader and you are passionate about your job it makes you seem like you would never give up or never let your followers down. Mother Teresa and Henry Ford are a good example. Mother Teresa spent 50 years helping people, dedicating her life and Henry Ford who never gave up on his dream.

Inspiration

Good leaders Have to be inspiring; They have to inspire their followers. A leader in my life is one of my best friends, Jalen because he inspires me to take care of my body. Before I met him I didn't really care about my body and I used to hate it. I used to always call myself fat and ugly. I also believed that I would never be able to change and there was nothing good about my body. After I met him he showed me that there were good things about me and how I could lose the extra weight. He told me that I was very strong and if I worked on my body, I would have really big muscles. he is a great leader and one of my best friends.
