People of Asian descent, Americans, Smokers, People in their 60s and 80s
IBS - Irritable Bowel Syndrome
What is it?
Irritable bowel syndrome also known as IBS, is a common bowel disorder that affects the stomach and intestines (gastrointestinal tract). IBS is a chronic condition that you will deal with for a long time
Symptoms?
Abdominal pain, Cramping, Bloating after passing a bowel, Gas, Diarrhea, Constipation, Irregular pattern in bowel movement, Bowel still feels full after using bathroom
Causes?
Muscle contractions in the intestine, Damaged nerves in the digestive system, Severe infection (severe diarrhea caused by virus), Early life stress

People under 50, Mostly females, Family history of IBS, Anxious, depressed, people with mental health issues
Gastric Reflux
What is it?
Gastroesophageal reflux disease also known as GERD, happens when stomach acid constantly flows back up into the tube connecting the mouth and stomach (esophagus). This acid reflux can irritate the lining of your esophagus. Acid reflux can happen from time to time, however, when it constantly occurs, it is called GERD

Causes?
The main cause for GERD is frequent acid reflux
Obesity & Pregnancy increase your chances of getting GERD, Smoking, Eating late at night, Fatty or fried foods, Alcohol consumption/coffee, Aspirin

Smokers, People of all ages, People with asthma, Mostly women
