Simple Past Tense
A concrete action that began and ended in the past.
Regular Verbs
When the verb end in "e", we add "d".
Example: change -> changed
If the verb ends in a short vowel and a consonant, we double the final consonant.
Example: commit -> committed
When the verb end in "y", the "y" is changed to "ied".
Example: Study -> studied
Irregular Verbs
Example: be -> was, were
drink -> drank

Affirmative Sentences
Subject + Verb in Past tense + Complement
Maria studied with me the last year.
Negative Sentences
Subject + didn't + verb in base form + complement
Juan didn't see the stars in his life
Yes/No Questions
Did + subject + verb in base form + complement
Did Pedro visit EEUU?
Was/Were + subject + complement
Were we in Londres?
Used the verb form in "Simple Past"
