Illegal Farming

Cattle farms the cattle farms are among the most destructive type of farming the pastures are built by burning down forests, then when the cows are put in their waste pollutes water supplies. thankfully in 2019 the government put in more strict laws against cattle farming.
Conserv Conserv is a company funded by the U.S government that is paying farmers to protect reserves instead of taking land. This Western intervention is actually a really good thing because the oxygen from the rainforest helps the whole world not just Latin America.
Food Giants and the Soy Industry Cargill, Bunge, and Cofco Are all food Giants which Illegally purchased soy beans from a farmer who deforested the amazon.

Polution Polution from Countries across the world has caused the rain forest to stop raining, this and the rise in tempurature has caused many forest fires
Early 1888 rubber trade Latex was originally harvested in small quantities by native tribes, however the british arrived and began crudly chopping trees to fuel their Countries hunger.
Canadian Oil Company Pacific Rubiales cuts through a uncontacted tribe and destroys forest. Despite the peruvian government promising to protect the natives they are infact allowing the 36 Million dollar project to commence.

Bolivia Thankfully Brazil is one of many Countries which surround the Amazon thankfully Bolivia which has the most rainforest of any country has done a very good job at protecting the forest. unfortunately Bolivia is very poor which allows corruption this could cause trouble in the future.

ARPA ARPA stands for Amazon Region Protected areas. It is a company which protects and classifies all deforested areas. it also graphs are which are off limits to public, used for farms, and areas used as parks.
Waiapi Tribe The Waiapi are the biggest tribe in the whole amazon, there are a total of 92 different villages dotted across protected amazon reserves. in recent years they have taken up arms against farmers who break into reserves to kill and steal.
Chico Mendes Chico Mendes was the most influencial activist in Brazil, he began blocking roads to rubber tapping facilities with human walls. Chico was very asertive but never endangered his activists. unfortunatly near the end of his life farmers began murdering his protesters, and on December 22 1988 he was killed in cold blood. he was the 90th activist to be killed that year.
