Disease

Aids deaths fell by 200 000 between 2005 and 2007. the newly infected rate fell by 300 000 between 2001 and 2007.
Marlaria prevention is spreading and the use of insceticide treated nets have tripled.

TB new infections are expected to decline.

Primary school enrolment in all regions is upto 90%

People in sub-sahara Africa mostly living on $1 per/day and likely to reduce target by 1/2. 1/4 of children in developing countries are underweight and at long-term risk of undernurishment.

Environment

Almost half developing world's population live without improved sanitation.
1/3 of growing urban population live in slum conditions.

Carbon dioxide emissions have contiued to increase, despite the international timetable for addressing the problem.

1.6 billion people have gained access to safe drinking water since 1990.
use of ozone depleating substances has been almost eliminated and has contributed to reduce global warming.

500,000+ mothers in developing countries die annually in child birth/ complications from pregnancy.

Gender
