Known as the "King Of Pop", Michael Jackson was a multi talented musician and entertainer who had a very successful music career both as a solo artist and as part of the Jackson 5. His album "Thriller" became one of the best-selling albums in history, and had other albums such as "Bad" and "Of the wall" become number one hits. Born on August 29th 1958, He first was in the famous band known as the "Jackson 5", until he later on became a solo artist and began producing his own music. In later years he was convicted of child molestation, and unfortunately passed away at age 50 from drug overdose. Michael Jackson was on of Ushers biggest inspirations and was what motivated Usher to keep on singing.

Joe “King” Oliver was a key figure in the first period of jazz history. His most significant ensemble, King Oliver’s Creole Jazz Band, was a live sensation and also the first black New Orleans ensemble to gain recognition in the record industry. He was the mentor of Louis Armstrong and became known as a pioneer in the Harmon trumpet mute. Oliver was born in Louisiana on December 19 1885, and passed away on April 10 1938. He had been Louis armstrong's teacher and one of his best partners to perform with, as they both had a similar style and habit to improvise on stage.

Nicknamed "Satchmo," "Pops" and, later, "Ambassador Satch", Louis Armstrong was a native of New Orleans, Louisiana. He came to prominence in the 1920s, influencing countless musicians with both his daring trumpet style and unique vocals. He was known for songs like "What a Wonderful World", “Hello, Dolly", ”Star Dust” and "La Vie En Rose". He was born on August 4 1901, and passed away on July 6 1971. Bing crosby said that he admired Louis Armstrong for his musical ability, and the trumpet maestro was a formative influence on Crosby's singing style.

Harry Lillis Crosby, otherwise known as Bing crosby, was one of the most famous entertainers of all time. He was born on May 3 1903, and passed away on October 14 1977. He was the song writer of the famous song "White Christmas" and many more. Throughout much of his career, Crosby dominated the music charts with nearly 300 hit singles to his credit. Crosby was the fourth of seven children born to a working-class family. Crosby spent his early years in Tacoma, Washington, before moving to Spokane when he was six years old. Frank Sinatra himself said that Bing Crosby's work and performances were one of two of his major influences in his life and his career. Crosby actually gave Sinatra advice, praising Sinatra about his music, and then advises him to never forget his audience. This is because Crosby holds his fans in the highest regard, knowing that his success wouldn't be possible without the support of the public.

One of the most popular entertainers in the 20th century, Frank Sinatra was born on December 15 1915, in Hoboken, New Jersey. He was an only child of Sicilian immigrants, and decided to become a singer when watching Bing Crosby perform in the mid 1930s. He began to sing at local nightclubs and was already a member of the glee club in his high school. While listening to the radio, he heard bandleader Harry James, who Sinatra made his recordings with. In the 1940s and 1950s, he had an amazing array of songs that were top hits and went on to appear on many films. Frank Sinatra's music influenced and inspired Usher so much that his second album was named after Sinatra's album "My Way".
Marvin Pentz Gaye, (Also known as the prince of soul), was soul singer-songwriter who was born in Washington D.C. on April 2 1939, and passed away on April 1 1984. Before he was a solo artist he was a drummer for famous singers such as Stevie Wonder, and The Supremes. Growing up Marvin was limited to singing church revivals, but was soon later on introduced to R&B and his musical career began to take off. The Jackson 5 were all influenced by Marvin Gaye's music, ever since they were growing up, they had been inspired by his songs such as "Let's get it on" and "I heard it through a grapevine".

Band formed by Jackson family, consisting of Jackie jackson (Born May 4 1951), Tito Jackson (Born October 15 1953), Jermaine Jackson (Born December 11, 1954), Marlon Jackson (Born March 12 1957), and Michael Jackson (Born August 29 1958). First began to play when their father found Jackie, Tito, and Jermaine messing around with his guitar, and he then figured out that his sons had genuine talent, and begin to conceive a family singing group that could possibly help their family get out of their tough-working class in Gary. The song "I want you back" was what really inspired Usher when he was young to try and sing. Usher heard a lot of R&B music, soaking up a variety of different artists and leading him to the Jackson 5.

He was born in 1978 on October 14 in Dallas, Texas. He performed on the show "Star Search", which got him a recording contract with LaFace records, and more people began to recognize him for his talents in singing, and dancing. His mother played a very big part in his motivation.
