Just because the majority thinks a certain way does not mean it is factually true. This example of truth is from the perspective of the people that have the belief.

Epistemology
Knowledge and Truth

Knowledge

Acquaintance

Snow is cold

Some people live in places that do not get snow. This means they would not know that snow is cold without someone who has experienced snow telling them. Someone who does have access to snow will conclude that it is cold. This is an example of knowledge by direct interactions with the world.

Rocks are hard

Rocks were a fundamental building block for many ancient civilizations. Rocks have been used in many ways over the existence of humans, but there was only one common reason: rocks are hard. This is an example of humans experiencing the world and using that knowledge as a tool.

Facts

1+1=2

If someone were to have one apple, then obtain another, they would have two apples. This is a fact. Math exists in the universe naturally, it was only humans that deciphered it and put it to words and rules. A fact is something that is scientifically true and cannot be argued with.

The Colours
of the Rainbow

Light naturally separates into the colours of the rainbow. It was, once again, humans that put it to logic and words. This is a fact that cannot be argued with because it is scientifically proven to be true.

Propositional

Asking and Answering

When someone has a question, they go and search for an answer, this usually comes in the form of and ask. If the time was needed, one would ask anther "What time is it?". They would then give an answer. This answer is now knowledge they have gained.

Research

Similarly to the previous example, inquiry is the key to this line of knowledge. For a question you might have, instead of asking a person, you would do research for the topic of your question. You would then gain knowledge in the topic of your research question.

Skill

Going to School

This type of knowledge is dependent on "how?" It is the process of knowing how to do something. School is a good example of this because it is where you go to learn how to do lots of things or about said things. For example, school teaches about climate change, a student would then use the knowledge gained to help the earth.

Doing a Job

To do good work, you must have skills. This is why employers do job interviews. You must be educated on certain topics and then apply that knowledge to your job.

Truth

Correspondence

Running Shoes

Running shoes or sneakers were made to make it easier to run. It is much easier to run in sneakers than sandals making their invention successful. This would make the statement, "Running shoes make it easier to run." true.

The Moon & Tides

The moon has many purposes, but controlling the tides is one of the ones that most affect us. Scientist have mapped the patterns and collected enough evidence to determine this as a fact. Because this fact continues to be supported, the moon and the tides connection is the truth.

Coherence

Religion

If something is widely accepted, it is deemed as true. If one grows up in a culture where everyone believes in something, they will grow up thinking that it is the truth. Religion is an example of this. If someone believes in God and everyone in their community also believes, they would then say, "God is the truth."

Voting

Everyone has an opinion. Politics and voting can get messy because not everyone agrees. When voting in an election, the majority wins, making the greater population believe that that person is a good leader. If the majority says this, it is deemed as true.

Pragmatism

Running Shoes

Running shoes were made to make it easier to run, that is true. But, it does not mean anything if the person wearing the shoes cannot run to begin with. If someone is in a wheel chair, wearing running shoes will not help them run. So, the previously stated fact is true, but with conditions.

Taking a Short-Cut

Roads were made to get someone from point A to point B. That is true. But, if taking the main road will take a long time to get you to your destination, it is not as useful as a back road that will get you there in a much quicker time. This means that the road will get you there, but it is not practical.
