How to Build a
Facebook Banner Set
1. Define the category
The facebook folders and corresponding file names share the same logic as the regular graphics folders. So items are organised according to their category group. Check the complete list to the left if you're unsure:
Example:
shf_tamaris-sandals_21_SKU-TA111B09N-350-4
2. Is the banner set branded?
After defining the category you need to define the brand (if applicable). The category and brand should be seperated by an underscore (_).
NO
Go to step 3.
YES
Single Word Brands
If you are promoting a brand, you need to define it directly after the first underscore (_).
Example:
shf_tamaris-sandals_21_SKU-TA111B09N-350-4
Multiple Word Brands
What if the brand has more than one word? If you are promoting a brand like Jack&Jones, Scotch&Soda or Even&Odd - all words are seperated by a hyphen (-).
Example:
txm_jack-jones-t-shirts_42_SKU-JA222D0EG-003
3. Specify the product type
The Facebook banners are further defined according to product type so it is quick and easy to find exactly what you're looking for. The product type comes directly after the brand (if applicable).
Single Word Products
Single worded products follow the same naming logic as the brands.
Example (Branded):
shf_tamaris-sandals_21_SKU-TA111B09N-350
Example (Non-branded):
shf_sandals_21_SKU-TA111B09N-350
Multiple Word Products
Some products have more than one word: high-heels, t-shirts, long-dresses. All words are seperated by a hyphens (-). So they follow the same logic as multi-word brands.
Example (Branded):
txm_jack-jones-t-shirts_42_SKU-JA222D0EG-003
Example (Non-branded):
txm_t-shirts_42_SKU-JA222D0EG-003
4. Give the banner set a number
The Facebook banners follow a chronological, numerical order. So if you want to make a high-heels banner set and the last set in the folder was shf_high-heels_22_ the next one should be shf_high-heels_23_. The number should have underscores on either side.
Example:
shf_tamaris-sandals_21_SKU-TA111B09N-350
5. Apply the SKU
We use one specific SKU per banner set. We do this for multiple reasons: to maximise our linking options, to test dynamic LPs and also to check whether brands or products are blacklisted in specific countries. Please make sure the text SKU is seperated from the code by a hyphen (-)
Example:
shf_tamaris-sandals_21_SKU-TA111B09N-350
