Indices
What is indices?
Indices is a expression used to write very small or very big numbers.
The reason for learning indices
To represent no. in a shorter way
Eg(s).
3³ = 3×3×3
2¹ = 2
2² = 2×2
2³ = 2×2×2
To do arithmetic & calculation with large no. efficiently
Arithmetic:
The mathematics of integers, rational numbers, real numbers, or complex numbers under the operations of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
To be able to key into the calculator easier without having to repeat multiplying the same number again and again.

Prefixes
Prefixes table
A common set of ecimal-based prefixes is applied to some units whoch are too large or too small for practical use without adjustment. The effect of the prefixes is to multiply or divide the unit by a factor of ten, one hundred or an integer power of one thousand. The prefix kilo, for example, is used to multiply the unti by 1000 and the prefix milli is to indicate a one-thousandth part of the unit. 1 mg = 0.001g 1 km = 1000m
