To describe or paint a picture with words.

Sensory details (sight, sound, touch, taste, smell).

Subjective, detailed.

Example:

Narrative Essay

To tell a story or recount an event, whether real or fictional, in a sequence of actions

Main goal:

To tell a story with a clear structure.

Focus:

Events or actions, characters, confliz and resolution.

Style:

Chronological, strctured.

Example:

Recounting a personal experience, a fictional story, a historical narrative.

Expository Essay

To explain or inform about a specific topic, presenting facts, ideas, or theories clearly and objetivel.

Main goal:

To inform or explain clearly.

Focus:

Explanation, analysis of facts, ideas, or theories.

Style:

Objetive, impartial, and clear.

Example:

Explaning a scientific phenomenon, describing a concept, analyzing a social or polical issue.

Persuasive Essay

To persuade or convince the reader to adopt a particular viewpoint or take an action regarding a specific issue.

Main goal:

To persuade, influence the reader's opinion.

Focus

Logical, emotional, and ethical arguments.

Style:

Convincing, based on strong arguments.

Example:
