Writing is done for different purposes and for different audiences.

INFORMATIVE TEXT
Is the production of content that allows the reader to obtain information about a current or past event

Examples: An article in a scientific magazine,
school textbooks, history books, etc.
Ejemplos: un artículo en una revista científica,

DESCRIPTIVE TEXT
The descriptive text, oral or written, is one that defines a topic, and consists of representing with words.
Examples: Articles in magazines, topic manuals, observation guides (touristic, ecological, etc). Some letters and reports.
Ejemplos: artículos en revistas, manuales de temas, guías de observación (turísticas, ecológicas, etc). Algunas cartas e informes.
El texto descriptivo, oral o escrito, es aquel que define algún tema, y consiste en representar con palabras.
NARRATIVE TEXT
is called the way of telling a sequence or a series of actions, carried out by some characters.
Se denomina a la manera de contar una secuencia o una serie de acciones, realizadas.
Examples: Fiction (novels, short stories).
Non-fiction stories (biographies, historical
narrations, news chronicles, field diary).
Ejemplos: Ficción (novelas, cuentos).
Historias de no ficción (biografías, historia
narraciones, crónicas de noticias, diario de campo).
iNSTRUCTIVE TEXT
They are intended to direct the actions of the reader. They show steps to follow, materials and, as their own name says: they instruct in some activity

Examples:User-guides (electronics, toys, etc.). Food recipes. Process instruction
(school registration, extraordinary exams, etc).
Ejemplos: Guías de usuario (electrónica,
juguetes, etc.). Recetas de comida. Instrucciones de proceso (matrícula escolar, exámenes extraordinarios, etc.).
EXPOSITIVE TEXT
An expository text is a kind of textual modality that presents an objective exchange of facts, ideas, or concepts.
Un texto expositivo es una clase de modalidad textual que presenta un intercambio objetivo de los hechos, las ideas o los conceptos.
Examples: Academic presentations,
advertisements. Political speech.
Ejemplos: Presentaciones académicas,
anuncios. Discurso político.
ARGUMENTATIVE TEXT
Its main objective is to support the thesis formulated by the author through the coherent and logical exposition of justifications or reasons
