Spain, as defined by its constitution, recognizes Spanish as its official language, although regional languages like Galician, Basque, Catalan, and Valencian are co-official in their respective communities.

Rights and duties.

Spaniards are equal before the law, without any discrimination for any personal or social condition or circumstance. The dignity of the person, the inviolable rights which are inherent, the free development of the personality, respect for the law and the rights of others, are the foundation of political order and social peace.

They can not be foundations of legal privilege: nature, filiation, sex, social class, wealth, political ideas or religious beliefs. Everyone has the right to freely express their ideas and opinions, using any means of dissemination, without being subject to prior censorship.

Territorial organization.

At the begining it was structured in 15 autonomous communities, butlater they did some changes.

Spain is estructured in 17 autonomous communities and each one is divided in several provinces except some of it that are uniprovincial (GALICIA: La Coruña, Lugo, Ourense y Pontevedra; ASTURIAS; CANTABRIA; PAÍS VASCO: Vizcaya, Guipuzcoa y Álava; NAVARRA; ARAGÓN: Huesca, Zaragoza y Teruel; CATALUÑA: Lleida, Girona, Barcelona y Tarragona; CASTILLA Y LEÓN: León, Zamora, Salamanca; Palencia, Valladolid, Ávila, Burgos, Segovia y Soria; MADRID; EXTREMADURA: Cáceres y Badajoz, CASTILLA LA MANCHA: Guadalajara, Cuenca, Albacete, Ciudad Real y Toledo; COMUNIDAD VALENCIANA: Castellón, Valencia y Alicante; MURCIA; ANDALUCÍA: Huelva, Sevilla, Córdoba, Jaen, Almería, Granada, Málaga y Cádiz; ISLAS BALEARES; SANTA CRUZ Y LAS PALMAS). And also two autonomous cities (Ceuta y Melilla).

Relationship with the catholic church.

During the republic, Spain was an aconfesional state. They weren´t had an oficial religion or relationship with the church, they forbade the church to teach in schools

There aren´t any official religion, but due to the big number of catholics, the state has some relations with the church.

Official language/s.

The official language is Spanish, and all Spain´s citizents must know it. Also there are more regional languages but there aren´t obligatory.

Relationship between the state and the regions.

Spain was a secular state. There weren´t any official religion.

Spain is a "non-denominational state". You could have any religion, ideology or belief
