Dictionary use

Over the decades, various studies have been conducted to understand the effectiveness of dictionary use in vocabulary acquisition and retention. In 1980, research primarily used questionnaires to gather information on user satisfaction and frequency of dictionary use, although no concrete conclusions were drawn.
