Setting up
Know the weather. It can have an effect on your equipment, crew, and shoot.
Security play a big roll! make sure to hire security to protect equipment.
Elements of sets and properties
Sets: The back groundof were the shooting is going take place. It can be set up or already an actual location.
Set Dressing: Items or object used to enhance the theme of the production.
Set pieces: Object in the shoot used make the location as normal or very similar of the vision.
Hand props: small Items that will be handle by the actors. *having duplicates of important props that are breakable is important!
Creating Movement
To create movement you can use the Subject, Camera movement, Movements through Zoom, Z axis movement, force movement, or by editing.
The importance of camera movement is crucial to set the right tone and approach to what come on the screen. Camera movement make a huge difference and helps when experimenting with the options.
Keys when Working with Talent
Experience:How much coaching them on the set can be based on their experience in life and the industry.
Interpersonal communication: Motivate the actor and make sure you are both on the same page of how the actor is being presented for the audience.
Mental State: The actor must be in a healthy mindset to be able to perform.
Camera Framing
Aspect Ratio, Critical Area, Scan Area: Not every that is showing in the camera are shot.The size of the objects are critical when sizing them up compared to a regular screen. Consider the Edge Attraction theory.
