Students will remain in class for the time allotted
and if they need to leave for a bathroom break etc.
they are gone for a reasonable amount of time

Teacher Response: None really needed

Negative

Students are gone from class for longer than
and appropriate time leading teacher to believe they
are skipping class

Teacher Response: Teacher may wish to look around
for the student that is missing, if found they will want to
have a conversation with the student about where they need
to be at that time. Further disciplinary action may be required if behavior continues.

Inability to Work With Peers

Positive

Students will have no issues with group work,
and will be able to get tasks done quickly and efficiently

Teacher Response: Teacher is able to use this method
of group work to help further deliver content, because peer teaching is an effective way of learning. Teacher may give prizes for best groups

Negative

Students will not work well in groups
or get off task and begin conversing socially
about non classwork topics

Teacher Response: Teacher will stop the class and
warn the groups that are off topic that they need to get back
to the work at hand, if the behavior continues, teacher may wish to break the group up and have those students do the work individually or for homework

Bullying Other Students

Positive

Students will treat their peers how they would
like to be treated, and act in a respectful fashion
in the classroom

Teacher Response: Teacher does not have to take any
actions regarding discipline with bullying. May want to provide incentive for maintaining a positive learning environment

Negative

Students may pick on or bully other students
in class about a medley of possible things

Teacher Response: Teacher will explain to students who
are bullying others, that they need to know how those actions make people feel about themselves. That it does not help maintain a good positive classroom for all. Teacher will follow school disciplinary measures regarding bullying

Disrespect to Teacher

Positive

Students will speak to and refer to the teacher
in a respectful way, maintaining a positive class
environment

Teacher Response: Teacher will return the respect that
is given to them, back to their students and everyone can
progress through the class positively and healthily

Negative

Students will not show teacher the proper
respect that is deserved of an authority figure,
this creates a divide and ultimately a negative learning
environment

are being disrespectful and explain to them the drawbacks
of acting that way. Teacher may need to speak with administration regarding further discipline

Students will always use classroom
appropriate language and not converse with
inappropriate comments

Teacher Response: Teacher will have no problems
dealing with students who may be speaking inappropriately

for completing their own work to the best of their abilities

Negative

Cheating is defined as students who use sources from
the internet for their information, unless instructed to,
students who copy answers from their peers, or otherwise
do their work in a dishonest way

Teacher Response: Teachers who have students who are cheating on schoolwork, should follow the school policy for cheating. If there is not a policy set in place for cheating, the teacher should have a conversation with the student, as well as a conversation with the parents of said student.

Tardiness

Positive

Students should be on time for class
each day and prepared to learn with
their books open so that the teacher can
begin right away and use the time given
most effectively.

Teacher Response: Teacher will give praise and
provide incentive and rewards for those students who
consistently are on time and prepared to learn in class

Negative

Students will come to class late quite often,
which will interrupt those who show up to class
on time and are prepared to learn

Teacher Response: Teacher will have a conversation
with the students who repeatedly show up to class late
and then if the behavior continues, will follow class or
school policy regarding disciplinary measures

Defiance

Positive

Students will do the tasks that are assigned to
them in the classroom and ask questions if they
do not understand

Teacher Response: Teacher will give bonus points
towards a class goal of a reward, for doing all tasks
and listening to the teacher at all times. Will provide praise for not having any issues.

Negative

Students will not do tasks and openly deny
that they need to do the work assigned to them,
these students refuse to listen to the teacher

Teacher Response: Teacher will speak with the students
who are acting defiant towards the teacher. If problems
persist, school policies will dictate further disciplinary measures

Not Completing Classwork

Positive

Students will complete all required homework
on time and come to class ready to present
teacher with completed work

Teacher Response: Teacher is allowed to continue with
lessons due to students being up to date with homework and content. Can provide incentive for completing work like allowing students to participate in class activities related to homework

Negative

Students come to class with unfinished homework
