Some old fashion scams might come to your door posing a threat to you or businesses. Door to door scammers use high pressure tactics to persuade you into buying a product or signing up for a useless service.

In most cases, you will not receive the product or service you paid for.
If you do get the product or service, it will be very low quality and not as represented/pitched
How to protect yourself?
Do some research and don't make a quick decision. Take some time to research the seller and the products/service offered.
Get to know more of the salesperson and the company they work for.
What to ask?
Photo ID
Name of the person
Name of the company, organization, or charity they represent
Ask about the charity and where
the funds are allocated.
Make sure you get this in writing.
