Problem Solving - Polya
1. Identify the Problem
In other words: Understand the problem.
2. Devise a Plan
- guess & check
- find a resource
- use a formula
- organized list/table
- solve a simpler problem
-draw a model
- use tools
- look for a pattern
- work backwards
- act it out
change point of view
3. Carry out the Plan
Persistances is important OR revise the plan.
4. Look Back (reflect)
- does the answer make sense?
- do I need to revise?
- Is ther an easier way I could have solved the problem?

Is an ordered list of objects, events or numbers which may be referred to as elements of the sequence, members or terms.
Arithmetic Sequence
Sequences of numbers with a common difference; this is, if you subtract any two consecutive terms in the sequence the difference is the same.
-3,-1,1,3,5,...
Geometry Sequence
Sequences of numbers witn a common ratio; this is, if the ratio of any two consecutive trems in the sequence the ratio is the same.
8,-4,2,1,...
