how the organ systems work together

when we inhale, oxygen go's into the lungs then through the alveoli, simple diffusion occurs and the oxygen transfers into the blood stream and lets carbon dioxide out. this is known as the gas exchange. how they work together is it starts with The right side of the heart when it picks up the oxygen-poor blood from the body and moves it to the lungs for cleaning and re-oxygenating. this function is called the pulmonary loop.

the heart pumps blood through complex network of blood vessels. When your blood circulates through your digestive system, it picks up nutrients your body absorbed from your last meal and deliver it through out the body and cells.

ATP is used for the muscles to contract and release waste and digest food but mixing it with stomach acid, water is also, used for dissolving nutrients and the transport of dissolved food substances through the various cells during respiration.

how waste is removed from the digestive system is when chyme enters the large intestine. Here, water is removed and bacteria break down some undigested materials, producing important compounds. The concentrated waste material that remains is called feces, which is passed into the rectum and eliminated from the body through the anus.

The respiratory and digestive systems work together to power the body. A properly functioning respiratory system delivers adequate oxygen to the blood. Because the digestive system breaks down food and uses muscular contractions to move food through the digestive tract, it needs oxygen to function properly.

How the organ systems are physically connected to each other is the respiratory system takes in oxygen from the air. It also gets rid of carbon dioxide. the digestive system absorbs water and nutrients from the food you eat and finally the circulatory system carries oxygen, water, and nutrients to cells throughout your body.
