THE AUTUMN
COLOURS
Every autumn we revel in the beauty of the fall colors. The mixture of red, purple, orange and yellow is the result of chemical processes that take place in the tree as the seasons change from summer to winter.
HALLOWEEN
Halloween takes place on October 31. It is a time when people dress up in costumes, go trick-or-treating, and carve jack-o’-lanterns from hollowed out pumpkins.
Ghosts and witches are popular costumes of the children who go from house to house saying, “Trick-or-treat!” The treat is usually candy.
To do our own masks we will have to cut paper plates in half and decorate them with tempera paints, stickers, markers... Anything you can think of!
We will decorate the classroom with spider webs made of absorbent cotton, ghosts made of plates and pumpkins with painted faces.
