The Haida people have a rich cultural heritage characterized by their distinctive clothing, travel practices, food procurement methods, spiritual beliefs, and types of shelters. They wear basket hats made from layers of tree bark to protect themselves from the sun.

Shelter

Longhouses. The Haida people would live in longhouses to them longhouses were like hotels. They would also protect the people from harsh concisions.
Wigwams the Haida would live in wigwams. the wigwam had a hole in the top to let the smoke from the fire out. two family's would live in it.

The Haida were well known for their large dugout canoes which they made by hollowing out ceder logs.A Haida canoe could be more then sixty feet long and was built to withstand stormy waves.

Beliefs

The Haida believed in medicine people who could gain special powers from the great supernatural beings.
Some of the spirits that they believed in was in the afterlife. The Haida people strongly believed in reincarnation.

Travel

The haida will travel when they know the current is coming. And that is very often.they even make a spot for it.the spot is still very close to there land. they even pack they're bags just to go there!

Cloths

The Haida will wear basket hats to protect them from the sun they are made out of bark from a tree. the basket hats help to protect because they are made of layers of bark it explains the patterns on the hat.

food

The Haida will hunt fish in seas rivers and lakes they will hunt fish like tuna,samon, and sturgen
the Haida will hunt fish. they will make fishing rods out of logs sticks and some rope or bark. they will teach they're boys how to fish and hunt for survival. Well the girls would make dinner and cloths.
