My First Activity facilitation was done on the Clock Arithmetic. I worked with two others on the project.
This section was very important to me. I learned how to disect word problems in ways that will help me figure out how to solve them. While going through the section, I learned that it is easy to misinterpret a problem. That is why it is important to read and understand the problem.
Learning how to do base block algorithms help to understand operations for different bases. I heavily relied on the base blocks.
The most interesting algorithm I used was the Lattice Algorithm for addition. I never learned this in elementary school.
By looking at other bases, I really started to understand why we "carry the one" and borrow.
