Background

My family is myself and my younger sister (who is essentially the same person as me but mad at the world) and our Mom.
I also have an amazing group of friends that I consider family who have been there to support me through so much in my life. I wouldn't be anywhere without their support.
I also consider the family I nannied for my family. After 3.5 years, including one year of living with them, I couldn't imagine my life without them.
I completed my B.A. (Hons) in Theatre & Film (Acting) at the University of Winnipeg in 2017
I have a cat named Láska
I love to travel and am planning on teaching abroad once done here.
I lived in Winnipeg MB until I was 23
Moved to Hamilton for 3.5 years

it was only supposed to be 1 year but I got super close to the family I was nannying for & couldn't leave.

I was born 45 minutes before Christmas. I strongly believed I was a literal elf who was kidnapped from the north pole and sent to live in Winnipeg.
Yes it does feel like all the gifts just come at once, but my parents were always amazing about separating them. No birthday presents in Christmas wrapping.

But I get to see so many people because everyone is gathering anyways.

I LOVE CHRISTMAS

Just the holiday season in general, the vibes.

Familiarity with Technology

I just generally don't love when I'm not good at things, so I'm not a super big fan of technology.
Had to have kindergarteners help me set up the projector so they could watch Bookflix during a break.
Would commonly tell students I didn't want to mess up their teachers computer on accident instead of saying I couldn't figure out why it wasn't working.

Impatient with troubleshooting

I get overwhelmed by technology easily
Learned how to watch shows & movies illegally at the ripe age of 27, i.e. two weeks ago.
Has a habit of just clicking on things until I sort of figure it out
Gaming controllers? Thats what to many buttons, I only play Wii.
Had typing classes in Elementary School
Still can't type properly, my pinkies float in the air like I'm having tea with the Queen as opposed to writing an essay.
Can use most of Microsoft suite
Excel isn't my favourite

In a university course the prof would teach us how to create and use functions with excel, and then the next day we would do it ourselves. The problem was, he would demonstrate with not a computer in sight, using only a whiteboard.

Prefers Apple products because they are straight forward and user friendly.

Music

I have loved Taylor Swift since 2007 and I will defend her to anyone who is a hater.

I'm a really big advocate for the idea that we should let people like what they like, because unless it impacts your life. If it makes them happy. Chill.

Can't play an instrument to save my life

In grade 4 for our school Christmas concert my class was performing 'Silver Bells' on our recorders. Because I was the shortest I was in the front row, but I could only play the first bar. So my music teacher told me that instead of just putting my recorder down, I should just pretend I'm playing. It probably looked ridiculous because I'm sure I was moving my fingers as if I were playing a very fast and complicated piece of music. Basically like a cartoon character.
