What happened?
On May 16th 2010 around 12:40 police and camera crew went of to the Jones' to film an episode for "The First 48" and the officer on duty that night was officer Joseph Weekly. He burst open the doors of the botton half of the duplex that the Jones' lived in and there he saw a sleeping figure. That would bee Aiyana Jones on the couch when her grandmother allegedly slapped the gun and that led him to slap sleeping Aiyana in her head.

After the death of Aiyana Jones there were rallys and I still don't feel that Aiyana got the justice she deserved but she helped along the steps of making a change

Aiyana Jones' funeral was held in the Second Ebenezer Church on May 22, 2010 in Detroit.
Retrial.
Retrial began in Septmeber of 2014 where he was charged with involantairy man slaughter
Trial.
Weekley's first trial ended in a mistrial in June 2013. Wayne County Circuit Judge Cynthia Gray Hathaway presided over the case.
