some predators include dingoes, saltwater crocodiles, indigenous people, wedge tailed eagles and other large birds of prey and some animals that were introduced by British settlers such as foxes, pigs and cats.

emus are very healthy, they only eat the most nutritious part of the plant which are the seeds, fruit, flowers and young shoots
when emus have plenty of food they can eat about 1Kg a day
emus swallow small rocks or pebbles to push down other food.

emus have two sets of eyelids to protect their eyes from all the dust
emu babies lose their stripes at 3-5 months old
emu babies become adult at 2-3 years old
