John Magruder
John Magruder was born on May 1, 1807.

He also recaptured Galveston by attacking Union ships using steamboats converted to gunboats by lining the sides with cotton bales to protect the riflemen

Thomas Green was born on June 8, 1814.
Green was a captain of the Confederate Army.
He made gunboats attack Union ships in Galveston Bay and took back control of Galveston for the confederate forces.
Green led the troops that were on the steamboats converted to gunboats.
Thomas Green died on April 12, 1864.
Francis Lubbock
Francis Lubbock was born on October 16, 1815.
Lubbock was elected as Texas’ first Confederate governor
He raised 32 companies of volunteer to help fight for the Confederacy.
Francis Lubbock has a whole county and city named after him in Texas.
Francis Lubbock died on June 22, 1905.
Ulysses S. Grant
He was born on April 27, 1822.
He was the 18th president.
Confederate General Robert E. Lee surrendered on April 9, 1865 to Ulysses S. Grant.
He was a radical Republican.
He died on July 23, 1885.
Jefferson Davis
He was born on June 3, 1808.
Davis was a former United States Secretary of War.
He served in the Senate.
He also served in House of Representatives.
He was the president of the Confederate States.
He died on December 6, 1889.
John Bell Hood
John Bell hood was born on June 29, 1831.
Hood was the leader of the Confederacy’s Hood’s Texas Brigade.
He also fought in the Seven Day's campaign and the battle of Gettysburg.
In Killeen TX Fort Hood is named after him.
John Bell Hood died on August 30, 1879.
John Reagan
John Reagan was born on October 8, 1818.
Reagan served as a cabinet member of Confederate President Jefferson Davis as Postmaster General.
Before joining the confederacy Reagan was part of the U.S. congress and senate.
Reagan and his group of people would raid U.S. postal service to take documents from them.
John Reagan died on March 6, 1905.
Abraham Lincoln
Abraham Lincoln was born on February 12, 1809.
Lincoln was elected as the U.S' 16th President.
Lincoln created the Secret Service hours before his assassination.
He wrote the Emancipation Proclamation.
Abraham Lincoln was assassinated on April 15, 1865.
Abraham Lincoln wanted to unionize the nation and the North had an economic advantage so he sided with whatever the North wanted which was to abolish slavery.
Robert E. Lee
He was born on January 19, 1807.
Robert E. Lee was the General of the Confederate Army.
He surrendered to the Unions as the whole Confederate.
Lee owned slaves and had white supremacist views throughout his life.
He died on October 12, 1870.
