OMNIBUS Changes: How this changed Canada's face is it took down and made very good laws to make Canada a much better place to call home. First, the gay rights they made it legal to be a homosexually in 1969. another thing they did was they put out the bills of right that was through John Diefenbaker also they made both brith control and adorations legal. lastly they put out the No-Fault Divorce law which made non-working marriages that wanted to separate it would be much more easier and no one can take advantage of anyone. SO with this being said this is one of the biggest things that happened in Canada history and especially in the time period from 1945-1982.
Unemployment insurance: Why this helped Canada so much was because it was supporting people who couldn't find a job or just could not work at the time they would get money to help support them and their family to they wouldn't be homeless and have no money to buy food and have a place to stay. this is a really big factor to why the face of Canada changed because this still lives on today.
Pension change: during this time period Canada had changed there pension plan. How this changed the face of Canada is because people who work during there employment day some money goes to there pension plans so when they retire from work they don't have to worry about be poor and having no money because you will have a solid amount of money in your pension to support your retired lifesyle in till you pass away. This was a really big change because many people before would have to work even if they were super old because there was no pension money saved for them to use when they retired so this is why this changed the face of Canada.

The cold war: why this was important for Canada was because during the war we chose sides with the U.S.A to battle with and this resulted in Canada becoming close with them and now we are trading partners with them which is a really big help for Canada because they can get products to sell and use in Canada in which they don't have and we do the same with the,.
Economy: After world war 2 happened the economy was doing very well from before. This caused many people to get jobs and new creations of jobs were introduced. Which made a variety of jobs to chose from and with that being said before this time there were not to many jobs. Many people were poor and homeless so this was a really big factor that played out for Canada in this time period. Also because of this teens they had more time to do what they wanted and did not have to help there families to make money like they had to do in the depression days. This was a really big change because the kid and teens were able to live the same way they did in the 1950s.
Free health care: It was first introduced in Canada in 1947 when the Saskatchewan government first allowed and made universal health care. This really changed Canada because when Canadians got hurt or had to see the doctor they wouldn't go and some people would end up dying. They did this all because they didn't want ti pay the bills because they were way to much. Also, the people who still ended up going to the doctor they would be in so much debt because of the medical bills. So with free health care they don't have to worry about that and they can go to the doctors and hospitals with out any fear.
