The English language showcases diverse variations across different regions, influenced by historical and cultural factors. Canadian English sounds mostly like US English to us, but to Canadians there's a distinct difference. The influence from French and British English is stronger, and this gives Canadian English some unique features.

American English kept the word "Fall", whereas the British replaced it by "Autumn" in the 17th century.
American English changed less. It reflects an older 17th and 18th version of British English.
