The text discusses various photo-sharing applications and websites, each serving different purposes and user needs. Path, an app similar to Instagram, allows users to share photos with up to 50 followers, making it more private.
Dropbox (App)
The Dropbox app allows you to take files, photos, videos, or anything with you wherever you go and sync them to any device that you wish. This app would be handy to log into any device and be able to work on any document.

MindMeister (Web 2.0)
MindMeister is a Web 2.0 tool that allows you to collaborate without meeting in person. You can create mind maps, like this one, with multiple people, no matter where they are located. Much like Google Docs, you can see the changes real time. This would be highly effective when collaborating to a schedule for anyone's practice time, or if anyone has any improvement ideas.

Yammer (App)
Yammer is a Facebook, like app that allows you to share, post, and comment on things that are to a more specific group of people. Instead of including friends and family, you can have your coaches, parents, etc. join Yammer and communicate just as everyone does on Facebook. I would use Yammer just as I would any other form of social media, as a way to make announcements.

Evernote (App)
Evernote is an app that allows you to make notes, share information, and collaborate with people throughout a certain group. It is a quick way of relaying a message to multiple people, without having to meet. Again, if I had an emergency game cancellation to announce, I could quickly get it to all Evernote users.

Blogs
Wordpress (App)
I am aware that wordpress can be used as a Web 2.0 tool, however I am just speaking on the app side of things. The Wordpress app allows you to post blog updates on the go, see viewing stats on posts, read other blogs, and recieve push notifications to keep you up to date to the latest happenings. I would use this to keep myself, staff, and students, up to date on any changes or announcements that have been made. It is a great tool for people who do not have time to sit at a desk non-stop.

TeachThought (Web 2.0)
TeachThought is a blogspace for mainly educators that would like to gain knowledge about various topics. You are able to connect using Twitter, Pinterest, and other social media outlets. You can find blogs covering a wide variety of things such as strategies and project based learning. I would use this tool as a professional development area for administration/coaches.

Weebly (Web 2.0)
Weebly allows you to create your own blog, along with your very own class website. Weebly would be a productive tool in interacting with students, coaches, and the community. They could all go to your personal website/blog to catch and up to date information.

Video Sharing
Burst (App)
Burst allows you to create, edit, and share user-generated videos with any small group, social media site, or individuals. If I needed to get a message out to all of my coaches about something that just came up, Burst would be helpful. If I had to announce a rainout, I could make the video with the Burst app and share it on multiple media outlets.

Vimeo (Web 2.0)
Vimeo is a Web 2.0 tool that can be used to create, share, and watch other people's videos. It is like youtube, but more strict about the content that is shared through the site. I would use Vimeo if I wanted to create a series of film for people to watch on trainings that need to be completed, or if I could find a series that someone has already made.

Edutopia (Web 2.0)
Edutopia is a website that generates educational videos ranging from Professional Development to videos that connect with Kindergarten to 2nd graders. This would be a great development tool for all staff to use personally, and to see if they can use it for their students.

Vine (App)
Vine is an app that can be used to create, share, and watch other people's short (6 seconds or less) videos. This would be a great app to have for as a sport highlight usage. I would use it to show off great plays made by the players, so the community can connect to the teams and players they cheer for electronically.

Photo Sharing
Phanfare (App)
Viddy is an app that is used by iOS users. It allows you to create, and edit slideshow clips from your iphone, ipad, or other ios devices. This would come in handy when making highlights of games, or events, to share with parents, coaches, students and staff.

Instadash (App)
Instadash is an app that allows you to integrate your Instagram pictures onto the Web for others to view, as if they were viewing Pinterest. I would use this app to allow parents who may not have Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc. They can simply log in and keep up with the happenings of the team /activity they love to follow.

SmugMug (Web 2.0)
Like many of these apps/tools, this can be used either way. However, while investigating it, I feel like it would be easier to set up using a computer of some sort. SmugMug allows you to set up your personal website of photos. You get to control what goes on your site, set your privacy, and keep the professional look that you would like to maintain. I, again, would use this site to connect the community with the teams, by posting photostories of each athletic season.
The link is as follows: https://www.smugmug.com/
Flickr (Web 2.0)
Flickr is a great way to create a photostory, or explore other people's. Using Flickr to create an end of the year story book, or a media ready highlight picture book, it could come in handy for any AD.

Path (App)
Path is a photosharing app that allows you to create a photostream that is similar to other photo apps, such as instagram or twitter. However, it only allows up to 50 followers to make it more private. I would use this photo sharing app to connect coaches to parents. I feel like this would be a fun way for them to share memories of the season.
