Alex Maar Star report

When I was working in High five youth program as a youth leader and our task was to set up food and games for the children with limited time. We all agreed to split up in groups of 2 and do different jobs in order to finish before the kids arrived. We ended up finishing everything and the kids had a great time.

I was working as a detailer and a customer brought in her car which was covered in pet hair. We charge $20 for pet hair but she was reluctant to pay. I gently took the time to explain the steps it takes to clean it as it requires more work and time. She ended up paying the fee and she left a happy customer.

A car had water leaking into it from somewhere. i had to locate the source and stop the leak. one of the water drains were clogged causing it not to drain properly. i took apart the door frame carefully and unclogged the drain, and the water stopped leaking in.

When i first started working at autohub i was a detailer. My boss needed a sales person so i got my licence through omvic and became a sales person.

I was walking to Subway one day and i noticed a dog running alone, so i decided to pick up and find its owner. I tracked the address through the dogs collar and returned the dog home. It felt good to see how happy they were.

In my first semester of college i got put into a group for an assignment. our task was work together and complete it before the due date. i didn't know any of them but we got to know each other a little bit and worked together to finish the assignment on time and we got above 80%.

My computer wasn't functioning properly due to it over heating. I had to disassemble it and figure out the problem. the cooling fan needed to be replaced. I bought the part and the computer was running again in no time.

new detail shop was a mess, so i decided to re organize everything. i safely moved the chemicals,placed them in order,moved around the tools and equipment.In the end i made enough room to store two cars instead of one.

I joined my program late in Mohawk college and i was behind. I did every assignment on time and caught up and i finished the semester with a 83 GPA.

I go to the gym every day. I believe this shows motivation and initiative because its not easy sometimes, but i stay commited to my goal.
