My Castle

Drawbridge

We made this in our castle so the king/king bob could get through the castle with his army or by himself. The people in the castle need the drawbridge for this reason.

So people can cross the moat, such as the king or baron to do an errand or maybe even serfs to do an errand for the king. Maybe the knights need to go in a fight and need to cross. The drawbridge could also keep out enemies. They could raise it, so intruders can't get past. That is why they use drawbridges.

Watchtowers/battlements

Every castle need so that they know when every enemy or person is coming.

The people in the watchtowers alert the king and queen and queen to hide for battle.

Keep

The keep will have the bedroom, kitchens etc. It is where all the action happens, like where they have feasts.

The king and queen need a place to hide, eat and keep prisoners, so the keep is useful.

Food market

Just like the well, you need to eat, so the food market will sell you something to eat, so you won't starve.

The chefs need to cook a lot because the people in the castle need food.

Marlon's and crenals

Crenals are used For shooting arrows. Sentries can shoot arrows at the enemies that could be invading.

The Marlon's and crenals can keep a safe place during a battle.

Well

The people who live in the castle need water. You need water to survive. You can get this water from a well. It will retrieve water for you.

Every castle needs a well so that people can get water in need. The well will retrieve it for you.

Dungeon

You need a dungeon to keep your prisoners that might have tried to attack you. It is basically a punishment, and you might spend your life in it.

A dungeon is a good way to make people scared. It is also a good way to punish people.

Stables

The knights might need a place to keep their horse while they aren't in battle. The stables are used for keeping animals and not letting them run away.

The people in the castle need a way to keep the animals warm and dry, so they use stables.
