ACTIBE POPULATION

The active population includes all the people tahat are old enough and physically able to work.The active population can be employed or unemployed. The unemployed population is looking for work.

INACTIBEPUPLATION

The inactive population includes all the people who are unable to work. For example, children under the age 16, retired people of 67, students not for work and people sufering from an illness.

NON-PAID WORKERS

non paid workers. many people carry out very important activitoes for society but do not receive any money.These are non paid jobs.For example,parents that stay home and keep hoese or raisetheir children.There are also many people that help society in their free time.These are volunteers that help others by working inassociations for free.

CROP FARMING

Over a hundred years ago, most people in Spain lived in villages and worked in livestock and crop farming, wich are primary activites.

NEW MACHINES

Gradually,new machines like tractors, began to be used wich made work easier so that less people were needed to work in the fields.

FIRST FACTORIES

The first factories began operating in the cities and many farmers left the countrysideto work as factory workers.

TERTIARY SECTOR

Nowdays, most people in Spain live in the city and work in the tertary sector providing services. Doctors, teachers, shopkeepers, lawyers and journalists are all professions in the service sector.
