The Fin Whale is endangered. I know this because for an animal to be classified as endangered, the species population has to be declined to at least 70% or lower. The Fin Whale has declined 78% of it's original roughly 400 000 whales.

Fin whales are typically found in deep waters off the coast off oceans. Fin whales also enjoy polar latitudes and are uncommon in tropic waters.
