Hitlers rise to power
Following World War I, Hitler gained popularity by promising to restore power and to end the depression.
Treaty of Versalies
It basically gave Hitler the power to mobilize the citizens into revenge and to use their hatred for it.
League of nations falls
It was only by limiting trade and financial support that the league could have any effect. However, countries were still breaking rules and enforcing military power.
Appeasment
To maintain peace and to make up for the Versailles Treaty, Britain and Canada attempted to appease Hitler.
Response from the Home Front
Japanese Canadians were gathered together and placed into risky internment camps. After the attack in Japan, where they had to do hard work. This influenced the general country.
The Trigger Cause of WWII
One other cause was the worldwide economic depression that went around
The principle trigger was when Hitler attacked Poland. this caused for England and France to pronounce battle on Germany, beginning WWII
Response of the Canadian Government
As a result of the war, the government was able to improve its industries and escape the Depression.
The war led to an increase in the salaries of female workers in Canada.
Many Japanese Canadians had been taken from their families and put into camps by the Canadian government.
