1 day, after they escaped from Cuba, they met a tanker, that was heading right for them, they could get crushed

after they met the tanker at sea, the waves that followed the tanker, were just as dangerous as the tanker, it could flip the boat, but luckily, it didn't, but instead senor castillo fell out of the boat

they also ost the medicine, so if someone gets sick on board, they could die

they have reached the bahamas, and Isabel's mother can give birth to Isabel's baby brother, and the police officer said that they had to return to cuba so that she can give birth,but they can give her a checkup. Isabel's mother doesn't want to give birth to her son in cuba.

they have met some sharks on their way to Miami, and Ivan's leg got eaten, allowing him to die on the boat.

they have met the US navy, because Mami was giving birth to Isabel's brother, on the boat. The boat doesn't have any motor now, since Isabel kicked it off the boat to make it float. they're so close to getting into Miami, but Lito, had to sacrifice himself so that Isabel can go to Miami.
