Terry Fox wanted to run because while he was in the hospital he saw a lot of people suffering from cancer and many of them were young children

His actions have affect millions and will continue to touch millions because the fight against cancer is a long and hard one.

As of 2019 the Terry Fox Foundation has raised over 750 million dollars for cancer research

He started his run in St.Johns Newfoundland and Labrador

His run is important because it raised the most money for cancer. (24.17 mill)

He also spread awareness

His run ended just outside of Thunder Bay, Ontario because the cancer had spread to his lungs

He was buried Port Coquitlam Municipal Cemetery
