English triumphant 1348-1509
1.-The english language is triumphant over the french language, by the influence of the literature.
2.-John Wyclif 1333-1384 : He translated the bible in to english language.
3.-The Black death 1348-1351
4.-William Langland: Piers Plowman 1360, this poem was regarding the simple Cristian life.
5.-Geoffrey Chaucer 1342-1400: He invented the "high style" using rommances (Latin and French) borrows. The Canterbury Tales (1387).
6.-The hundred of years war (1337-1453)
7.-William Caxton 1476: The introduction of printing, let to spread old english in books.
8.- After discovering America (1492): The beginning of colonization let a global spread of english language.
1500: English began to obtain a new position from original Europe language, to a global system of communication.

King Jonh "Lackland" lost english positions in france allowing decline of french language in England.

Central French 1200-1400
In the middle english the structure complexity and syntax of old english had disappeared, the most significant development was phonological, labeling, unstressed vowels let to reduction of inflectionals distinctions, changes on morphology and syntax of english language.
English in decline 1066-1204
Norman Aristocracy used french language.
Lower classes had used english for almost 200 years
French was the official language
In some places english was replaced by Latin
