Slips/Trips/Falls

If you see water on the floor mop it up.
Same goes with flour. If you see it on
the floor sweep it up, both are very danger-
ous on a kitchen floor

Burns

To Prevent burns don't use wet oven mitts.
You do this because if you use a we oven mitt
and you touch something that's hot it will
create steam, steam that could burn you badly.

Shocks

To prevent shocks don't pull out a plug
using the cord. Also if u see water near a plug
let a teacher know before you go near it.

Cuts

To prevent cuts. When holding a knife Point the
end down and point the blade behind you. When
cutting food use proper food handling.

WHMIS

Make sure the whmis books are in the
classroom

PPE

Only use the equipment if you have a PPE

Food safety

Hygiene

Take care of yourself, brush your teeth, wash
your hands etc..

Baterial Growth

Bacteria grows when toy miss treat.
You miss treat food by leaving it out for too long
Not throwing it out when the expiry date has come.

How to prevent it. You prevent it by Wrapping food up properly, don't leave your food out for too long,
don't cross contaminate.

Food Safety Practices

To safely handle food you have to sanitize your surface before and after using. Use different cutting boards or clean your cutting board for different foods like meats and vegetables.

Hand washing steps

First turn on the water
Second Rinse your Hands
Third Put soap on your hands
Fourth scrub hands for 20 seconds
Fifth Rinse hands again
Dry your hands with paper towel and
use that same piece of paper towel
to turn off the tap

Dishwashing procedures

Dishwashing steps
1. Scrap off any extra food from the Item
2.Rinse the dish
3.Wash the dish
4.Rinse off soap
5.Put dish in Sanitize solution
6.Dry dish and put away

Food safety Terminology

When handling food Always wash your hands,
have clean surfaces and have clean utensils.

Dangurous foods

Be careful with dangerous food, you have to
prepare these foods carefully or you could get someone sick.
