Students are the experts on a topic

Students generate a question, then research their problem and they use their creative side to come up with a solution. Often times they use technology to create their final product.

Students are highly engaged in higher level thinking skills

Believes in using technology but does not seem to focus on it like Prensky does.

Being creative is an asset for job hunting

Believes in an individualized approach

Focusing on an individual's unique skill set may allow them to become more skilled in one particular area...making it easier to get a job in that line of work.

We are exposed to more creative means than generations in the past meaning someone had to be creative in order to obtain that particular job.

Technology is a foundational skill evident in every aspect of life

Creative capabilities are enhanced because the brain is extended and enhanced by technology.

Brain Gain--when we use technology to do things our brain doesn't already know how to do.

Schools should be open to the idea of allowing students to stay connected to technology.

Give students a chance to use technology to prove what they can create and do! Students want to:

Be able to follow their interests

Prensky focuses on using technology and student choice to create products, which is a higher level thinking activity.
