Omega

The Omega (Ω) symbol in mathematics was popularized by John von Neumann in the early 20th century, particularly in set theory. However, the symbol itself comes from ancient Greek and was used in various ways long before von Neumann. While he helped establish its mathematical meaning, he did not invent the symbol itself

sigma

In 1755, Leonhard Euler introduced the symbol Sigma to represent summation. He also established the use of 'e' for the base of natural logarithms, 'π' for the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter, and 'i' to denote the square root of -1.

pi

The introduction of the symbol π for Pi by William Jones in 1706, along with its widespread use by Leonhard Euler in the 18th century, marked a significant turning point in mathematics.
