animated " Golconda " ( 1953)
we see the streets instead of the roof tops in the painting " Golconda" 1953 by Magritte. the men are hovering in the streets. ( falling like rain ? ) a terrified person runs through the street
" THIS IS NOT A PIPE."
Takes inspiration from the painting " the treachery of images " by Magritte in 1923. the art would have an image which would look like multiple things ( duck or chicken ? ) move to slowly shift into another object or remain in the process of changing foreveran (un?) realistic depiction of an object with a caption which suggests thatit is not a ____ ( a picture of an apple, " this is not a apple ) this object does not exist ( file .exe deleted ) this object is real and does exist

Rene Magritte
Born in 1898 in the small town of Lessines Belgium, René Magritte helped tear the established art of the time to shreds. He described himself less of a painter and more of thinker with paintings. He associated himself with the French surrealist movement, and moved to Paris in 1927 to be closer to them. As was the norm for surrealist artists, his work questioned the viewers preconditioned perceptions of reality. He often juxtaposed normal objects in unusual situations, such as apples, bowler hats ( of which he was very keen on ) and others. However, unlike other surrealists of his time, Magritte pursued a figurative style rather than using automatic techniques. His effect on the art form is very distinct. Magritte use of simple graphics and everyday imagery is reflected on modern pop artists.

key principles of design
unity: To create unity between coloursharmony: reinforces a single emotion or motif. proportion: to make some objects appear closer than others
key elements of design
probably darker colour values to create a sense of mystery. using greys, blues and maybe purples would add to this effect
pixel art ??
