Teamwork

Situation- For my class I had to work in a group and I found it difficult because we were all working online so we couldn't read each others face expressions

Task- The task for our project was look up a social media and do a presentation about it. I had to take notes for our topic, while Amanda was the leader, Sophie was the person to decide specific tasks and divide them, Sotiara was to involve all group members in discussion

Action- So in our first meeting as a group we all decided our roles in the group, then we got to work on our project

Result- The finish result of our project was spectacular. I loved it.. We were very proud of our finishing result.. Plus we got a fabulous mark for it.

Communication Skills

Situation- In one of my high school co op placements, I had to have good communication skills because I was interacting with customers and taking their orders.

Task- My task at the Lunchbox Café was to take orders, deliver orders to the tables, clean and sweep the tables and floors, clean the meeting rooms, help prepare the food.

Action- I was always looking for jobs to do at the cafe. There was always something to do.

Result- I made a lot of friends at the cafe that I still keep in contact and I sometimes go there with my Mom for lunch and check in with my friends.

Problem Solving Skills

Situation- One example of this, is one of my cats isn't using the litter box, so I've been researching on how to tell my cat to use his litter box and I tried training him to use it..

Task- Researching to see if I could train my cat to use the litter box

Action- training my cat to use his litter box

Result- it's still in process but eventually I hoping he'll use the litter box instead of our basement

Strong Work Ethic

Situation- Online school

Task- I'm working and learning how to be ok with being online for college.

Action- Being online for school

Result- Learning college online

Motivation and Initiative

Situation- For school, I have to motivate myself to get my homework done on time even if I have no energy to do it.

Task- Doing homework to get it done on time

Action- getting down to do homework even if I don't have any energy

Result- Feeling proud of myself for getting my homework done on time

Interpersonal Skills

Situation- making new friends online

Task- Having to make new friends in my classes online because of the pandemic

Action- Making new friends in my classes online

Result- Having friends who I can trust and know that they would be with me and won't hurt me.

Technical Skills

Situation- Being online for school

Task- I had to learn how to use Microsoft Teams because I have to use it for school

Action- Using Microsoft Teams for school and learning how to do school online

Result- having no problems with doing school online

Organizational Skills

Situation- Organizing my work space

Task- organizing my work space so that it's organized and clean

Action- Cleaning my work space so that it's organized and tidy so that I can have a clean work space

Result- Having a clean and organized work space to work in

Flexibility/ Adaptability Skills

Situation- Video calling my friends

Task- Whenever I want to video call my friends, I have to be flexible because they have schedules and not always free to video call.

Action- being flexible to video call my friends when they can

Result- Being able to see my friends virtually during the pandemic

Integrity

Situation- Being happy even if I'm depressed or scared

Task- Whenever I'm scared or nervous or depressed, I try my best to hide it from my friends..

Action- Hiding my emotions from my friends.

Result- Being the friend my friends always like and listening to whatever they want to say.
