Duties/Responsibilities
Sample Collection and Analysis
- Collecting, preparing, and analyzing samples
- Such as blood, urine, tissues, and other bodily fluids
- Tests use specialized equipment and techniques to diagnose diseases, monitor health conditions, or conduct scientific research
Equipment Maintenance and Calibration
- Ensuring accuracy and reliability of lab results
- Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment
- Includes sterilizing, cleaning, and conducting routine checks to prevent malfunctions
Data Recording and Reporting
- Record and document all test results and procedures
- Maintaining detailed and accurate logs
- Prepare report summarizing findings and communicate these results
- Ensuring that critical data is available
