government policies and community health

set industry rules and regulations

r

The government has rules and regulations that they give to industries to control what they put in the air to keep our environment clean. They also set up recycling plants to reduce the amount of waste we create. Also, when garbage is burned, it gives gasses into the air which pollutes our air. So we recycle and compost. Also my dad received some coupons from Canadian Tire to get LED lights to replace old light bulbs which took up more energy. The stores got subsidy from the government to pass on to the community.

programs that are environmentally responsible

recycle

walking or biking to school,work

r

Some programs help us to be responsible. Like recycling, walking bus, so we ride or walk to school or work and also running electrical things off peak using times. This all helps our environment. Also, by using cloth grocery bags or reusable grocery bags helps save on the waste of plastic bags. The same for water bottles and lunch bags and containers. Some communities have places where you can donate old clothes or furniture, so it can be reused.

vaccines

education on concussions

learning about allergic reactions

r

Getting vaccines protects ourselves and other people in our community. Learning about concussions like Rowans law and learning about allergic reactions to help people who have allergies. If I know some of my friends have allergies then I can help avoid problems or maybe even save them if they do come in contact with things.
