Lexical Relations
synonym
There are two lexemes will be considered synonyms if they can
be substituted for another in a sentence without changing the meaning or
acceptability of the sentence

Adjective : The house is large = the house is big
Noun : Ahsan is a seaman = Ahsan is a sailor
Verb : my sister sleeps = my sister lies
Adverb : I investigate the answer minutely = I investigate the answer carefully
Hyponym
is the relationship which obtains between specific and general
lexical items
example
He caught a fish at the bank.
He left the bank half an hour ago
Antonym
Two sentences are different in polarity like these are mutually
contradiction.

Afraid, scared, frightened.
Automobile, car, vehicle.
Big, large, huge.
Polysemy
is the phenomenon of multiple related meanings within a single
lexeme.

Homonym
are words that have the same orthographic and phonological form
and unrelated meanings
example

loan-lone.
Made- maid.
