Short History
Seville is approximately 2,200 years old.
The city was known from Roman times as Hispalis.
There were successive conquests of the Roman province of Hispania Baetica by the Vandals, the Suebi and the Visigoths.

In 1247, the Christian King Ferdinand III of Castile and Leon began the conquest of Andalusia.
