Hardware

CPU (Central Processing Unit)

Basic center that controls the entire computer. Stores and transmits the data, and executes the program instructions. It comprises:

Peripherals

Connect the CPU with the user and with other teams. Depending of their function, distinguished :

Input peripherals (keyboard, mouse, microphone), which provide data to the computer.

Output peripherals (screen, speakers), which provide information to the user.

Peripheral input/output (CD drives, external memories, modems, touch screen) that, depending on its use, inserting data into the computer

Software

The basic software Includes all languages and programs that constitute the computer's operating system.

The application software Pograms to perform certain tasks allowing the user to control and manipulate information. The most common programs are word processing, drawing, calculating, communications, databases, sound, etc.

MIDI

MIDI is a digital interface that transmits messages in the form of ones and zeros through the connectors called DIN . Enables communication between various electronic instruments (synthesizers, sequencers, drum machines, etc.) and allows the exchange of information between them and a computer.

MIDI communication is done through systems that generate or control the codes, and systems able to receive and interpret instructions.

Any instrument can become a "MIDI controller" transforming sounds into MIDI messages through a converter.
