Anecdote: 2:05 They talk about Jacob about how he’s a scary cat and that he is going to be the next best thing

Reference to pop culture: 2:52 It’s mention that when you are paying in the all navitve basketball tournament that you aren’t only playing for yourself your playing for your nation

Compare and or/ contrast: Playing for yourself and playing for the nation a very different but in the end you're both playing for something whether that is for the nation or just yourself

Conventions

Talking heads: At the start of follow the rock when you see Jacob playing basketball on the court you can tell that this film is going to be about him or something that he’s very involved in.

Voice Over narrations: 1:55 It has Jacob talking about how many people come out to the all native basketball game and showing the crowd and how many people are there without showing him speaking.

Real people: At the start of the film it shows him getting off the plane then he gets right into how he loves to come back and that he thinks people appreciate when he does.

Longshot: 1:48 They use a longshot of them playing basketball so they could see the action of the game and they could also get some of the fans' reactions or cheering.

Close up: 3:12 They switched it up to a close up shot when the went into the dressing room so the could get there reactions while going in you can also see they sweat almost from the game

Medium shot : 3:32 Jacob is talking to a friend after the game. They both are smiling and having a good time.

Methods of Persuasion

Pathos: During the all native basketball game the fans cheer for jacob and everyone looks like they are enjoying the game with all there cheers and excitement

Logos: Throughout the all native basketball game you can see how many fans and people came out to support and all the people screaming and cheering

Ethos: 1:17 Jacob Thom says that “people are singers, people are dancers, hunters I am a basketball player” Jacob said that with meaning and you could hear it in the tone of his voice. I think that when he said that it meant that's his passion and that's what he’s good at.
