Recycling

Recycling has a significant impact on the environment and energy conservation. For example, recycling a single aluminum can save enough energy to power an entire album on an iPod. Aluminum, a metal composed of ionic bonds, showcases the conductive properties highlighted on the periodic table.

Recycling

My research tells me that recycling can make a big difference to our environment and save energy.

I can make meaningful and unique connections between science concepts learned this semester and the concepts and ideas I discovered in my research.

Atoms and Periodic Table

2e:Melting one alumium can, can save enough energy to power an entire album on your iPod.
aluminum is made up of metal, metal is made up of ionic bonds, ionic bonds form metals, and metals are conductive based on the properties on the periodic table.

It takes less energy to recycle old newspaper than to make new news paper.

By recycling just one aluminum can, you can save enough energy to listen to an entire album on your iPod.

If you recycle 100 cans, you can light up your room for two whole weeks.

Make recycling a priority at your school.

States of Matter.

3a: It is like a lab, everything needs to be organized and seperated so it turns out like they plan.
2a: Matter has different stages and their are many different stages to recycling like, seperating things and putting them in the right spot.
1c: They need to calculate the mass density and volume so they can see how much energy can be powered by the things they are breaking down.
1b: The item being recycled was physical snd turned into a chemical property when it is melted down to be made into something new.

I can create new and original thoughts and ideas by creating and combining concepts and ideas I discovered during my research.

One person generates atleast 4 lbs of trash every day and 1.4 tons of trash each year.

In 2009, Enough trash was produced to circle the earth 24 times.

There are many things you can do to help recycle, just have fun with it.

Start a program which randomly rewards students found recycling.

Use morning announcments to encourage students to recycle.
