TRIGLYCERIDES

Triglycerides serve a storage function in the body, composed of glycerol and fatty acids. These fatty acids can be either saturated or unsaturated. Saturated fatty acids have only single bonds between carbon atoms, leading to fats that are solid at room temperature and have high melting and boiling points, commonly found in animal products.
