Training of teachers started in 1993 with Intercultural Bilingual Pedagogical Institutes.
English is recognized as lingua franca and it's important
communication.

National English Curriculum
To contribute to the development of students’ ability to interact.
The importance of English as a tool to enhance students to understand people.
Associate the principles about the nature of language and language teaching and learning.
The Foreign Language was established in 1992 signed between the Ministry of Education and Culture (MEC) and the British Council.
Ministry of Education's role
The incorporation of native English-speaking teachers to the national education system.
The “Time to Teach” program and agreements with EF and others that allow guaranteeing the quality of education are strengthened.
